August 2010 Update
May you experience the presence of Christ in a new and living way each day as He is being unveiled in you.
In the beginnings God called the light “Day”, and the darkness He called “night”(a twist or deviation, away from the light) (Genesis 1:5). Also In Genesis 1:4 we read that God divided the light from the darkness or we could say Spirit from the flesh, truth from error, programs, creeds, doctrines (man made substitutes) from reality. God is “Light” or God is the “Day”. We must be reminded that we are not talking about a twenty-four hour day or even a day of the week here. God who has begun a good work in you will complete it until day of Jesus Christ (Philippians 1:6). From the very onset God divided the light from the darkness and He is still dividing the light from the darkness in us until there is no more deviations, then the person of Him shines forth. In the book of Revelation John saw this same truth. Revelation 21:2; John saw the Holy City, New Jerusalem, coming down “out of” (A primary preposition denoting origin (the point whence motion or action proceeds), from, out (of place, time or cause) God, prepared as a bride, Verse 9 & 10; “the bride the Lamb’s wife”, “the great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven of God”. We always remind the brethren that the word of God is spiritually understood and the scriptures will interpret themselves to us. First we see the Holy City, the New Jerusalem and the reality of this is revealed to us from Hebrews 12:22-24. John was seeing a people not some man made structure we call the church. Second we see that it was “out of God”, then it was born of Him, its origin was out of Him, out of the heavens of God’s spirit and man had nothing to do with creating, instigating it nor was it of the natural realm. Jesus said in John 3:6 “That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit”. Third we see ‘the bride the Lambs wife”, Paul reveals to us from 2 Corinthians 11:2 and in Ephesians 5:22-32 “ a great mystery, but I speak concerning Christ and the church”, we are the bride of Christ. In Revelation 21:23 we read “no need of the sun or the moon to shine in it, for the glory of God illuminated it, and the Lamb is its light”. “No need of the sun” (no need of natural light), or the moon” (or reflected light). Jesus said “I am the light of the world” (John 8:12) and also He said “You are the light of the world, a city” (Matthew 5:14). This light in not of ourselves but it is Him in us because the only light we have is Him. The revelation continues (just a note here “until 1560 A.D. there were no verse divisions and numbers included in the bible) on into Revelation 22: 5 “there shall be no night there” (no darkness, no deviation, no devil, because nothing of the adamic nature is left in us). All that remains is Christ who is light, love, truth, etc. From the very beginning (Genesis) we see the purposes and plans of God being fulfilled in us. Each day of creation began in the evening so as His work continues in us and the “Day” gets brighter and brighter. Not only is there “no night” but also “the tree of the knowledge of good and evil” is missing from our experience because we only see ”the tree of Life” (Revelation 22:2). Isaiah 14:24; “The Lord of host has sworn, saying, Surely, as I have thought, so it shall come to pass, and as I have purposed, so it shall stand”.
